Role Overview
An experienced Digital Payments Operations Manager is required to oversee and optimize end-to-end payment processing systems across the UAE fintech ecosystem. This role focuses on ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and seamless transaction processing across multiple digital channels, including wallets, cards, and real-time payment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of digital payment systems, including transaction routing, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Monitor payment success rates, latency issues, and system downtimes; implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve payment gateway performance and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, including transaction monitoring and reporting standards.
- Coordinate with banking partners, card schemes, and third-party payment processors.
- Oversee fraud detection mechanisms and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident management processes for payment failures or system disruptions.
- Generate detailed operational and financial reports for leadership decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in digital payments or fintech operations.
- Strong understanding of payment rails (e.g., card networks, instant payment systems).
- Experience with reconciliation systems and settlement processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks within the UAE financial sector.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of API-based payment integrations.
- Experience working with fraud detection tools and AML systems.
- Data analytics capability (SQL, Excel, or BI tools).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
