Key Strategic Responsibilities
Payment Ecosystem Development & Innovation
- Design comprehensive digital payment strategies covering card payments, account-to-account transfers, QR-based payment systems, mobile payment solutions, and embedded financial services.
- Lead the modernization of payment infrastructure using cloud-native architectures, API-driven connectivity, and microservices frameworks.
- Develop strategies for integrating real-time payment technologies and cross-border transaction capabilities.
- Identify emerging global payment trends and translate them into commercially viable financial technology solutions suitable for Gulf markets.
Financial Technology Architecture
- Oversee the design of secure, scalable, and high-availability payment platforms.
- Establish advanced API ecosystems enabling seamless integration with banks, fintech platforms, merchants, and third-party service providers.
- Implement intelligent transaction routing systems to improve processing speed, reduce operational costs, and maximize payment success rates.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce automation, machine learning analytics, and predictive transaction monitoring.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure payment solutions comply with regional financial regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and international payment security standards.
- Develop fraud prevention frameworks utilizing artificial intelligence, behavioral analytics, device intelligence, and anomaly detection models.
- Establish comprehensive operational risk management strategies for digital financial platforms.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent professional expertise in Financial Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related disciplines.
- 10+ years of experience in digital payments, banking technology, fintech architecture, or payment operations.
- Extensive knowledge of payment gateways, payment switching, API management, cloud platforms, and financial data security.
- Experience working with complex financial infrastructure involving high transaction volumes.
