Role Overview
A high-performance fintech ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a technically elite Senior Data & Analytics Engineer – Real-Time Financial Data Platforms, Payments Intelligence & Scalable Pipelines to architect and operationalize the data backbone that powers mission-critical financial services.
This role is engineered for a professional who understands that in fintech, data is not just an asset—it is infrastructure. You will design and manage real-time data pipelines that process millions of transactions, enabling analytics, fraud detection, customer insights, and regulatory reporting.
Operating at the intersection of data engineering, distributed systems, and financial intelligence, you will ensure that data flows are reliable, scalable, and optimized for low-latency decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time and batch data pipelines for financial transactions
- Build scalable data architectures using cloud-native technologies
- Integrate data from multiple sources including payment systems, APIs, and external providers
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across platforms
- Optimize data processing for performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable advanced analytics
- Develop data models and schemas for fintech applications
- Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines
- Ensure compliance with UAE data protection and financial regulations
- Automate data workflows and ETL processes
- Document data architecture and processes
- Stay updated on emerging data engineering technologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and big data tools (Spark, Kafka)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
- Experience in fintech or financial services preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with streaming data architectures
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks
- Familiarity with analytics and BI tools
- Exposure to machine learning data pipelines
