A globally oriented fintech banking institution is seeking an accomplished Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Digital Banking Security to strengthen the resilience of its next-generation financial technology ecosystem. As digital banking services continue to expand through cloud-native platforms, artificial intelligence, API banking, digital payments, embedded finance, and real-time transaction processing, protecting critical financial infrastructure has become a strategic priority.
This position offers an outstanding opportunity to join a high-performing Cyber Defense and Security Engineering division responsible for safeguarding enterprise banking platforms, payment infrastructures, customer digital identities, cloud environments, and mission-critical financial applications against sophisticated cyber threats.
The successful candidate will work alongside Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts, cloud engineers, software engineers, enterprise architects, fraud specialists, compliance professionals, digital banking teams, and executive leadership to develop proactive security strategies that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, and regulatory compliance across the organization’s technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity controls across digital banking platforms.
- Engineer secure architectures for cloud-native financial applications and banking APIs.
- Protect payment platforms, customer authentication systems, and digital banking channels against emerging cyber threats.
- Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, penetration testing coordination, and vulnerability management initiatives.
- Develop secure software engineering practices in collaboration with development teams.
- Implement Zero Trust security principles across enterprise infrastructure.
- Configure endpoint protection, network security, identity management, and privileged access controls.
- Support incident detection, investigation, containment, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Monitor security events using advanced Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
- Collaborate with fraud prevention teams to identify suspicious transaction behaviors.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, cyber resilience testing, and business continuity exercises.
- Maintain compliance with financial security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior cybersecurity professionals while promoting security awareness across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum 7–10 years of cybersecurity experience within fintech, banking, financial services, cloud security, or enterprise technology.
- Strong understanding of financial cyber risks and enterprise security architecture.
- Experience securing digital banking ecosystems and payment infrastructures.
