Role Mandate

This role is structured as a senior advisory appointment for a fintech professional operating at the intersection of digital finance policy, payments strategy, and system-wide oversight. While fully remote, the mandate is strategically aligned with Qatar’s rapidly evolving digital finance and payments landscape.

The position is non-operational and non-executive. Its purpose is to shape how digital financial systems are conceptualised, governed, and evaluated at a macro and institutional level.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Develop policy-aligned frameworks for digital payments and platform-based financial services

• Advise on systemic risks, resilience, and long-term sustainability of fintech ecosystems

• Translate financial-sector objectives into coherent digital finance strategies

• Define principles for interoperability, transparency, and platform neutrality

• Conduct high-level assessments of emerging fintech models and architectures

• Produce policy-grade reports, strategic briefs, and advisory memoranda
