Position Overview

A prominent financial institution in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an accomplished Security Architect to design, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide cybersecurity architecture that protects critical digital assets, cloud environments, and business applications.

This senior technical role is suited to an experienced cybersecurity professional with expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud security, zero-trust frameworks, identity and access management, application security, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate with infrastructure engineers, cloud architects, software development teams, risk managers, and executive leadership to establish security strategies that enable innovation while maintaining a strong security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise security architecture aligned with business objectives.

• Develop cloud security strategies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Implement Zero Trust Architecture principles.

• Define security standards for enterprise infrastructure and applications.

• Lead secure architecture reviews for new technology initiatives.

• Develop Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies.

• Design network segmentation and security controls.

• Support secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) initiatives.

• Evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with new technologies.

• Develop encryption and key management strategies.

• Strengthen endpoint, server, and cloud security.

• Support security audits and regulatory compliance programmes.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate DevSecOps practices.

• Assess third-party technology risks.

• Prepare technical security documentation and architecture diagrams.

• Mentor security engineers and provide technical leadership.

• Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Participate in incident response planning and security improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

• Minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity or security architecture experience.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Experience with cloud security technologies and enterprise security controls.

• Knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and PCI DSS.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF, SABSA, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, or CISM are highly desirable.
