RESEARCH MANDATE
The Research Director will lead a forward-looking research function focused on identifying the technologies, business models, market structures, and consumer behaviours likely to reshape financial services.
This position is designed for a senior intellectual and analytical leader who can combine economic analysis, technology research, financial-market intelligence, quantitative evidence, and strategic interpretation.
RESEARCH PORTFOLIO

Establish annual and multi-year fintech research agendas.

Analyse emerging financial-technology markets and business models.

Evaluate technological developments affecting payments, banking, wealth, lending, and financial data.

Study AI adoption and its implications for financial services.

Conduct competitive and market-structure analysis.

Assess fintech investment patterns and emerging technology ecosystems.

Develop quantitative market models and scenario forecasts.

Commission and direct specialized research projects.

Lead researchers, analysts, and subject-matter contributors.

Produce executive-level research publications and strategic briefings.

Translate complex market evidence into actionable recommendations.

Present findings to senior executives and strategic stakeholders.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Master’s degree or PhD preferred in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Technology, Statistics, Business, or related field.

10+ years of experience in financial research, strategy, consulting, fintech intelligence, economics, or technology research.

Strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities.

Deep understanding of financial technology and digital financial markets.

Excellent analytical writing and executive-presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to identify structural trends rather than merely short-term market movements.
