Role Overview
The Head of Blockchain Systems Engineering will lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of decentralized financial infrastructures for Saudi Arabia’s evolving fintech landscape. This role combines deep technological acumen, regulatory alignment, and global architectural insight to deliver enterprise-grade blockchain frameworks for financial applications.
The position requires mastery in distributed systems engineering and a strategic understanding of tokenization, DeFi frameworks, and digital asset interoperability.
Core Responsibilities

Architect blockchain-based financial platforms enabling smart contract settlements, tokenized payments, and cryptographically verifiable audit trails.

Design multi-chain interoperability systems for secure digital asset transfer across financial networks.

Integrate digital identity solutions (DID) and zero-knowledge proof mechanisms into blockchain ecosystems.

Lead technical governance for blockchain compliance in alignment with Saudi Central Bank’s fintech initiatives.

Drive R&D in scalable blockchain frameworks that enhance performance, transaction throughput, and cross-border liquidity management.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in blockchain system architecture, fintech product engineering, or distributed ledger technology.

Strong programming expertise in Solidity, Rust, or Go.

In-depth understanding of consensus protocols, cryptographic key management, and enterprise blockchain infrastructure.

Knowledge of financial compliance, AML frameworks, and tokenization regulations in GCC contexts.
Preferred Credentials

Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Cryptography, or Digital Finance Systems.

Track record in leading blockchain deployments for financial institutions or digital payment networks.

Experience in enterprise-grade blockchain systems such as Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or Ethereum Enterprise Alliance.
