Position Overview

The Head of Blockchain & Digital Asset Architecture will lead the UAE’s innovation agenda in digital assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and enterprise blockchain infrastructures. This position requires a highly accomplished technologist with a deep understanding of protocol-level blockchain design, tokenization models, institutional custody frameworks, and central bank digital currency (CBDC) initiatives.

The role will involve close engagement with regulators, technology partners, and global financial networks to ensure that the UAE remains at the forefront of digital asset governance and blockchain-enabled financial transformation. Operating remotely, this leader will align technology development with local UAE regulations while embedding compliance within international digital finance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and scale enterprise-grade blockchain infrastructures optimized for financial institutions, exchanges, and payment providers.

• Lead development of digital custody frameworks ensuring cryptographic resilience and institutional-grade compliance.

• Collaborate on CBDC pilots, stablecoin frameworks, and tokenized asset ecosystems under the UAE’s digital finance initiatives.

• Oversee the deployment of multi-chain interoperability solutions connecting GCC markets to international blockchain ecosystems.

• Establish smart contract governance frameworks that support scalable, compliant DeFi platforms.

• Provide thought leadership on the future of tokenized economies, asset securitization, and institutional blockchain adoption.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in blockchain engineering, fintech innovation, or cryptographic systems architecture.

• Advanced expertise in Ethereum, Hyperledger, Stellar, and cutting-edge cross-chain technologies.

• Strong knowledge of digital asset compliance frameworks, including FATF travel rule, KYC/AML standards, and international settlement models.

• Proven experience designing blockchain infrastructures for banks, exchanges, and institutional investors.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, or Blockchain Engineering; PhD desirable.
