The Strategic Opportunity
A high-growth financial services institution is searching for a highly specialized Principal Treasury Technology Engineer – Institutional Banking & Financial Operations to lead engineering excellence across treasury platforms, liquidity systems, settlement operations, and enterprise banking infrastructure.
This position sits at the strategic center of institutional finance where technology directly determines liquidity visibility, treasury resilience, operational precision, and regulatory confidence. The successful engineer will design and optimize systems supporting treasury workflows, multi-currency settlements, payment reconciliation, liquidity forecasting, regulatory reporting, and enterprise financial control.

Primary Responsibilities
• Design and optimize platform architecture supporting treasury operations, settlement systems, liquidity management, and enterprise banking integrations
• Build scalable backend infrastructure for treasury automation, reconciliation workflows, financial reporting, and strategic finance operations
• Improve reliability across institutional payment flows, liquidity controls, and high-value transaction environments
• Collaborate with CFO operations, treasury teams, compliance leaders, cybersecurity specialists, and enterprise software engineers
• Develop secure integrations across banking platforms, ERP systems, treasury dashboards, and reporting environments
• Strengthen observability systems, resilience engineering, failover planning, and disaster recovery across enterprise financial operations
• Support modernization involving API banking frameworks, treasury automation initiatives, and large-scale cloud transformation programs
• Ensure engineering delivery aligns with Oman regulatory requirements, audit readiness, and institutional governance standards
• Lead technical architecture strategy for treasury modernization and enterprise financial infrastructure growth
• Provide senior mentorship and strategic engineering leadership across platform teams
Required Expertise
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or related discipline
• 8–12+ years of engineering experience across banking systems, fintech infrastructure, treasury platforms, or enterprise financial technology
• Strong expertise in Java, Go, Python, distributed systems, cloud engineering, and enterprise architecture design
• Experience with treasury systems, ERP integrations, payment settlements, and financial reporting platforms
• Strong understanding of compliance-driven engineering and audit-ready infrastructure development
• Excellent executive communication skills and high-level architectural decision-making ability
