Role Mandate
This role is designed for a senior fintech architect operating at the intersection of platform engineering, digital finance infrastructure, and large-scale transactional ecosystems. The Principal Remote Fintech Platform Architect will define, design, and govern next-generation financial platforms capable of supporting cross-border payments, embedded finance, digital wallets, real-time settlement systems, and API-driven financial services across international markets, with strategic alignment to Dubai’s position as a global fintech hub.
The mandate extends far beyond system design. This role shapes platform philosophy, ensuring resilience, regulatory interoperability, scalability, and institutional-grade security across distributed financial architectures.
Core Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end fintech platforms supporting high-volume, low-latency financial transactions across multiple jurisdictions

Define reference architectures for payment orchestration, digital ledger systems, API gateways, identity frameworks, and data pipelines

Lead architectural governance for microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native financial infrastructure

Establish interoperability standards for third-party fintech integrations, banking interfaces, and payment networks

Design fault-tolerant systems with strong disaster recovery, redundancy, and observability frameworks

Translate regulatory requirements in the UAE and global markets into enforceable technical controls

Serve as the ultimate technical authority across platform lifecycle decisions, from inception to optimization
Required Expertise

12+ years in fintech, financial systems architecture, or large-scale transactional platforms

Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, container orchestration, and financial APIs

Proven experience designing payment systems, digital banking platforms, or real-time financial infrastructure

Strong command of security engineering, encryption standards, and data protection frameworks

Ability to operate autonomously in a fully remote, globally distributed environment
