Position Overview
A leading fintech banking organization is expanding its enterprise cyber defense capability and is seeking a highly experienced Principal Fintech Security Operations Manager to lead strategic cybersecurity operations protecting advanced digital financial services.
This executive-level technical position is responsible for directing enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, threat intelligence programmes, cyber incident management, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and operational resilience initiatives supporting digital banking platforms, payment technologies, cloud infrastructure, and financial data environments.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership while working closely with executive management, engineering teams, compliance specialists, fraud prevention units, internal audit, enterprise risk professionals, and digital transformation teams to maintain world-class cybersecurity capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC) functions.
- Develop strategic cyber defense initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Direct threat detection, threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response programmes.
- Oversee enterprise vulnerability management and remediation initiatives.
- Coordinate security monitoring across cloud, network, application, and endpoint environments.
- Manage cyber crisis response and executive communication during major security incidents.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate secure development practices.
- Establish security performance metrics, operational dashboards, and executive reporting frameworks.
- Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend strategic investments.
- Conduct cyber resilience assessments and tabletop exercises.
- Support regulatory audits and enterprise compliance programmes.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary cybersecurity professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8–12 years of progressive cybersecurity leadership experience.
- Experience managing Security Operations Centers within fintech, banking, or enterprise technology environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, enterprise architecture, and financial cyber risk management.
- Proven ability to lead complex cybersecurity transformation programmes.
