Position Context (Architecture-First Format)

This role exists for a fintech professional who does not merely build systems but defines the underlying financial infrastructure upon which digital finance operates. The Principal Fintech Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing highly resilient, cloud-native financial platforms that support payment processing, digital wallets, settlement workflows, and core transaction services at scale.

The position assumes a deep understanding of financial latency, transaction integrity, platform scalability, and system fault tolerance, operating across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining consistent performance and reliability.

Mandate & Strategic Purpose

• Establish long-term infrastructure blueprints for high-volume fintech platforms.

• Design modular, service-oriented financial systems that evolve without disruption.

• Ensure platform readiness for regional and international expansion.

• Balance engineering innovation with financial system stability.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end payment and transaction processing platforms.

• Design cloud-native infrastructures using microservices and event-driven models.

• Define standards for API orchestration, service communication, and data consistency.

• Establish system resilience strategies, including redundancy and disaster recovery.

• Review and approve infrastructure-level decisions across distributed engineering teams.

• Translate complex financial workflows into scalable system designs.

Required Expertise

• 12+ years in fintech infrastructure, digital payments, or financial systems engineering.

• Proven experience designing large-scale transaction platforms.

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud environments, and financial data flows.

• Strong architectural documentation and decision-making skills.

Working Model

• Fully remote with strategic alignment to the UAE fintech ecosystem.

• Senior individual-contributor authority with enterprise-level impact.
