Role Concept
This role reframes fintech risk as an engineering discipline, not a compliance obligation. The Principal is responsible for designing governance, risk, and control systems that are embedded directly into fintech platforms, ensuring resilience and predictability at scale. The position is fully remote and aligned with Kuwait’s fintech environment.
The emphasis is on anticipation, modelling, and systemic control, not reactive oversight.
Core Responsibilities

Architect fintech risk and control frameworks that operate continuously

Design embedded controls across transaction flows and platform access layers

Define early-warning indicators and escalation logic

Conduct stress-scenario modelling and platform resilience analysis

Establish governance structures linking system behavior to accountability

Produce comprehensive risk architecture and control documentation

Professional Background

12–18 years in fintech risk, operational resilience, or control-system design

Strong analytical and systems-engineering mindset

Experience with highly automated financial platforms

Excellent written articulation of complex control models

Comfortable operating autonomously at senior-principal level
