Role Abstract

In an era of escalating financial cyber threats, a Kuwait-aligned fintech ecosystem is establishing a next-generation financial security architecture and seeks a Principal Cybersecurity & Financial Risk Engineering Specialist.

This role is intensely technical, focused on defensive architecture, proactive threat modeling, and systemic financial risk mitigation across digital transaction ecosystems.

Operational Scope Breakdown

1. Financial Cyber Defense Architecture

• Design and implement zero-trust security frameworks across fintech systems

• Secure high-value transaction pipelines against:

  • Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks

  • Payment injection fraud

  • API exploitation

2. Threat Intelligence & Risk Modeling

• Develop predictive models for:

  • Transaction fraud patterns

  • Behavioral anomalies

• Integrate AI-driven threat detection systems into financial infrastructure

3. Secure Infrastructure Engineering

• Harden cloud-native fintech environments (AWS, Azure)

• Implement end-to-end encryption protocols, secure key management systems, and tokenization frameworks

4. Regulatory Security Compliance

• Align infrastructure with:

  • Kuwait financial cybersecurity regulations

  • International standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)

• Build automated compliance validation pipelines

Technical Depth Requirements

• 10+ years in cybersecurity within financial systems or fintech platforms

• Expertise in:

  • Cryptography

  • Network security architecture

  • Secure API design

• Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, and threat intelligence platforms

Specialized Competencies

• Red team / blue team operational experience

• Blockchain security (smart contract auditing, wallet security)

• Experience with fraud detection algorithms and anomaly detection systems

Performance Indicators

• Reduction in successful attack vectors

• Incident response time

• Fraud loss mitigation metrics
