Position Summary
A prestigious financial technology institution is expanding its engineering division and is seeking a visionary Principal Financial Software Developer to spearhead the design and implementation of mission-critical financial software powering intelligent banking platforms, digital payment ecosystems, treasury applications, lending solutions, and next-generation financial services.
The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority, shaping engineering standards, influencing technology strategy, and delivering highly secure software solutions capable of supporting enterprise-scale financial operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end software architecture for fintech platforms.
- Develop high-throughput financial transaction engines.
- Design scalable event-driven systems for digital payments.
- Build secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs for banking integrations.
- Implement AI-assisted fraud monitoring and anomaly detection modules.
- Develop real-time reconciliation and settlement services.
- Optimize database performance for mission-critical workloads.
- Drive cloud-native modernization initiatives using containerized technologies.
- Establish engineering standards, coding practices, and software governance.
- Mentor development teams and conduct architecture reviews.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software development.
- Expertise in Java, C#, Python, or Go.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and distributed databases.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
