Role Mandate
This role is designed for a senior-level fintech professional operating at the intersection of large-scale digital payments architecture, transaction processing resilience, and cross-jurisdictional financial infrastructure strategy. The position focuses on designing, refining, and governing next-generation payment rails capable of supporting national-scale transaction volumes, international remittance corridors, and real-time settlement ecosystems.
The successful candidate will function as a principal architect and strategic authority, shaping payment infrastructure frameworks that are scalable, regulator-ready, and engineered for future digital economies.
Key Strategic Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end digital payment ecosystems including switching layers, clearing mechanisms, settlement logic, and reconciliation engines.

Define high-availability payment infrastructure strategies capable of handling extreme throughput and near-zero latency environments.

Develop interoperability models between domestic payment systems and international networks.

Design risk-controlled transaction flows incorporating fraud analytics, transaction monitoring, and automated exception handling.

Establish governance standards for payment APIs, ISO 20022 messaging structures, and cross-border payment protocols.

Provide strategic guidance on payment modernization initiatives including instant payments and digital wallets.
Required Expertise & Profile

12+ years in fintech, payments infrastructure, or financial systems architecture.

Deep knowledge of payment processing models, settlement frameworks, and transaction lifecycles.

Proven experience with large-scale payment systems, switches, or national payment platforms.

Strong understanding of compliance-driven system design without operational execution dependency.
