This role is designed for a deeply technical and visionary fintech architect who operates at the intersection of distributed systems engineering, real-time transaction processing, and cross-border payment innovation.
As the Principal Digital Payments Infrastructure Architect, you will conceptualize, design, and optimize scalable payment ecosystems that power high-volume, low-latency financial transactions across regional and international markets 😊
🧠 Core Mandate
You will spearhead the architectural transformation of payment infrastructures, ensuring:
- Ultra-high availability (≥99.999% uptime)
- Sub-second transaction latency
- Seamless interoperability with global payment networks
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
- Architect multi-rail payment systems (RTGS, ACH, card rails, and digital wallets)
- Design event-driven microservices architectures using Kafka, Pulsar, or equivalent
- Lead ISO 20022 migration strategies and payment message standardization
- Implement tokenization frameworks and PCI-DSS compliant infrastructures
- Oversee cross-border remittance optimization using blockchain-based settlement layers 😊
- Develop resilience frameworks (failover clusters, disaster recovery zones, active-active setups)
🧩 Technical Environment
- Languages: Golang, Rust, Java
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS / Azure multi-cloud
- Data Systems: Cassandra, Redis, PostgreSQL
- Messaging: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ
- Security: HSM integration, encryption-at-rest and in-transit
🎯 Candidate Profile
- 10+ years in fintech infrastructure or payment engineering
- Deep familiarity with SWIFT, SEPA, and real-time payment rails
- Proven expertise in high-throughput system design (>10k TPS)
- Strong grasp of financial regulatory frameworks in GCC
