Position Mandate
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal — Digital Banking Core Modernization & Financial Systems to lead the architectural transformation of legacy financial platforms into scalable, modular and technology-driven banking infrastructure.
This is a high-impact position for an enterprise technology professional who understands that modernizing financial systems requires more than replacing software. It requires careful redesign of transaction processing, customer-account services, product engines, integration layers, data architecture, operational resilience and technology governance.
Strategic Responsibilities

Define modernization strategies for legacy financial systems.

Establish target architectures for next-generation digital banking platforms.

Develop migration strategies that minimize disruption to critical financial services.

Design modular architectures for financial products and transaction processing.

Evaluate monolithic systems and identify opportunities for service decomposition.

Develop API and event-driven integration strategies.
-
Establish cloud-transformation roadmaps for financial workloads.

Design high-availability architectures for mission-critical services.

Coordinate architecture decisions across engineering, security, data and product teams.

Establish technical standards for financial-system modernization.
-
Develop approaches for legacy-data migration and system interoperability.

Evaluate technology debt and establish remediation priorities.

Define resilience, disaster-recovery and operational-continuity strategies.

Review major technical designs and implementation proposals.

Mentor senior architects and technology leads.

Present modernization strategies and investment requirements to executive leadership.

Candidate Profile

10+ years of enterprise architecture, banking technology or fintech experience.

Significant experience with large-scale financial-system modernization.

Strong understanding of transaction-processing architectures.

Experience with cloud-native and distributed systems.

Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices and integration architecture.

Experience leading complex technology transformation programs.

Excellent executive communication and technical leadership capabilities.
