Position Overview:
We are hiring a Remote Principal Blockchain Architect with deep technical mastery of tokenized finance, distributed ledger infrastructure, and institutional-grade compliance to design the core technology stack powering one of the most ambitious asset digitization ecosystems in the United Arab Emirates. As the UAE implements sweeping initiatives under the Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2025 and the ADGM’s Digital Asset regulatory framework, this role operates at the convergence of public-sector blockchain, institutional trust infrastructure, and programmable capital.
You will be instrumental in architecting distributed systems for the issuance, custody, and settlement of tokenized financial instruments—ranging from real estate tokens and sukuk to digitally native bonds and private equity token wrappers.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design of secure, scalable, and compliant DLT infrastructure to support regulated tokenized asset offerings under the purview of the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and ADGM FSRA.

Oversee consensus mechanism selection, smart contract audit trails, key management systems, and protocol integration across various chains (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, Quorum, Avalanche Subnets).

Define the core tokenization schema, custody layers, investor identity abstraction, and transaction finality mechanics for wholesale and retail-grade asset tokens.

Build and maintain blockchain nodes, validator clusters, and off-chain/on-chain bridges to external systems, including custodians, compliance nodes, and digital ID providers.

Collaborate with product managers, lawyers, and compliance officers to ensure solutions meet FATF VASP guidelines, ISO 20022 messaging standards, and ADGM DLT principles.

Supervise integration with UAE’s national blockchain and cloud infrastructure for compliant deployment and inter-governmental interoperability.

Guide audits, penetration testing, and zero-knowledge proof deployments for privacy-preserving compliance within permissioned environments.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, or Distributed Systems.

8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years in blockchain or DLT architecture.

Strong experience in Solidity, Rust, Go, or Java for smart contracts and backend infrastructure.

Familiarity with R3 Corda, Polygon CDK, Ethereum L2 rollups, zk-STARKs, and threshold signature schemes (TSS).

Experience implementing custody protocols (MPC, HSM) and token standards (ERC-20, ERC-1400, ERC-3643).

Hands-on experience with UAE digital asset regulations, sandbox frameworks (ADGM/VARA), and institutional financial workflows.
