Position Summary
An internationally recognised fintech innovation programme is seeking a highly accomplished Principal API Security & Financial Platform Engineer to design secure, scalable, and high-performance API ecosystems that support mission-critical financial applications.
The successful candidate will lead architecture decisions, strengthen enterprise security, optimize cloud-native financial platforms, and ensure the resilience of digital services processing millions of secure transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture
- Design enterprise API security frameworks.
- Develop scalable financial platform architecture.
- Improve service resilience and fault tolerance.
- Strengthen cloud-native infrastructure.
Security Engineering
- Implement Zero Trust security principles.
- Enhance authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Secure enterprise APIs.
- Improve cyber resilience across financial platforms.
Leadership
- Mentor engineering teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews.
- Develop engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in cloud engineering, API architecture, cybersecurity, or fintech infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in enterprise platform engineering.
- Strong leadership and technical communication skills.
