Lead Remote Financial Data Intelligence & AI Risk Engineer

Position Overview
This role operates at the intersection of financial data engineering, artificial intelligence, and risk analytics, with a focus on building predictive financial intelligence systems that power next-generation fintech platforms.
The objective is to construct a real-time financial risk intelligence engine capable of ingesting, processing, and interpreting high-volume transactional and behavioral datasets.
System Architecture Scope
You will design and oversee a layered architecture consisting of:
1. Data Ingestion Layer
- Real-time streaming pipelines (Apache Kafka, Flink)
- Batch ingestion for historical financial datasets
- API-based integrations with financial institutions
2. Processing & Intelligence Layer
- Feature engineering pipelines for financial behavior modeling
- AI/ML risk models (credit scoring, fraud detection, AML pattern recognition)
- Graph-based anomaly detection for networked financial fraud
3. Decisioning Layer
- Real-time risk scoring engines
- Rule-based + AI hybrid decision frameworks
- Automated compliance triggers
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI-driven financial risk models with high precision and low false-positive rates
- Build scalable data pipelines capable of handling structured and unstructured financial data
- Implement model governance frameworks ensuring explainability and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with compliance teams to embed AML/KYC intelligence into system workflows
- Optimize systems for low-latency decision-making in high-volume environments
Required Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data-intensive systems
- Hands-on experience with ML pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow)
- Deep knowledge of financial risk modeling techniques
- Experience with graph databases (Neo4j) and network analytics
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations in Saudi fintech ecosystems
