Position Overview
A rapidly expanding fintech engineering division is seeking a technically accomplished Lead Intelligent Payments Engineering Manager to oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of high-performance payment platforms supporting real-time digital transactions across regional and international markets.
You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for delivering secure, cloud-native payment infrastructures that combine intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and scalable software architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead software engineering teams building enterprise payment platforms.
- Establish engineering governance and coding standards.
- Mentor senior developers and technical leads.
- Drive agile software delivery methodologies.
Platform Development
- Design highly available payment systems.
- Develop secure API-first financial applications.
- Improve transaction throughput and latency.
- Enhance platform scalability and resilience.
Innovation
- Implement AI-assisted payment intelligence.
- Introduce automation across engineering workflows.
- Optimize cloud-native infrastructure.

Security & Operations
- Strengthen cybersecurity controls.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of software engineering experience within fintech or enterprise financial technology.
- Strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, Kafka, cloud platforms, and RESTful APIs.
