Position Summary

A digital financial services ecosystem is seeking a Lead Fintech Data Scientist to drive advanced financial analytics and predictive modeling initiatives across its fintech platforms.

The role focuses on analyzing large financial datasets generated by digital payment systems, customer financial interactions, and transaction behavior. The successful candidate will lead the development of machine learning models and analytical frameworks that support strategic fintech decision-making.

Responsibilities

Financial Data Modeling

• Develop statistical and machine learning models to analyze financial transaction data.

• Identify behavioral trends in digital financial services usage.

• Generate predictive insights that support fintech platform optimization.

Data Engineering Collaboration

• Work with data engineering teams to structure financial data pipelines.

• Ensure data quality and reliability for analytical purposes.

• Optimize large financial datasets for scalable analytics.

Advanced Analytics

• Apply machine learning techniques to detect financial anomalies and transaction trends.

• Develop models supporting risk assessment, fraud detection, and customer segmentation.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis on fintech operational metrics.

Business Intelligence

• Translate complex financial analytics into actionable business insights.

• Build dashboards and visualization tools for senior leadership teams.

• Support strategic planning through data-driven recommendations.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Financial Technology.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in data science, financial analytics, or fintech data analysis.

Technical Expertise

• Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages

• Machine learning frameworks

• SQL and financial data management

• Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
