An award-winning fintech innovator is seeking a Lead Financial API Developer to design and build highly secure API ecosystems connecting banks, fintech platforms, merchants, payment processors, and enterprise customers through intelligent financial services.
You will play a pivotal role in enabling interoperability across modern financial systems by developing secure, scalable, and developer-friendly API platforms that support the future of digital finance.
Your Responsibilities
API Engineering
- Design enterprise-grade REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Build secure API gateway solutions.
- Develop authentication and authorization services.
- Engineer financial integration middleware.
- Create developer portals and API documentation.
Software Development
- Build scalable cloud-native backend services.
- Optimize financial transaction processing systems.
- Develop reusable software libraries.
- Maintain high-availability production environments.
- Implement event-driven architectures.
Collaboration
- Mentor software engineers.
- Conduct code quality reviews.
- Collaborate with product management and cybersecurity teams.
- Drive continuous engineering improvements.
- Support Agile software delivery practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 6+ years of backend software development experience.
- Expert knowledge of Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or Rust.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Express.js, or ASP.NET Core.
- Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, API gateways, and secure coding.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud computing.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
