Role Overview

Oman is rapidly expanding its foundation for open finance, with a strategic focus on secure financial data exchange, multi-platform API interoperability, and consumer-ready digital intelligence services. This role leads engineering of Oman’s open finance infrastructure, enabling scalable data-sharing frameworks, consent-driven access systems, and dynamic financial connectivity across banks, fintechs, and non-bank digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will craft high-performance API ecosystems, secure data mobility systems, event-driven pipelines, and AI-enabled financial insights engines across distributed environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect Omani open finance infrastructure, covering API standards, access control frameworks, consent orchestration, and identity federation architecture.

• Build secure multi-institution data pipelines supporting real-time financial data mobility, cross-platform synchronization, and analytics-driven intelligence.

• Develop cloud-native API ecosystems enabling embedded finance services, customer data unification, and third-party financial technology innovation.

• Engineer performance-optimized infrastructures supporting high concurrency, elastic scaling, and data integrity across distributed networks.

• Lead design of advanced security frameworks including encryption, key protection, tokenization, and continuous API security monitoring.

• Coordinate multi-stakeholder alignment across banks, payment companies, fintech startups, and regulatory partners.

Required Expertise

• 8–14+ years in open banking, financial data engineering, API systems architecture, or distributed fintech environments.

• Strong mastery of secure API frameworks, data exchange protocols, cloud-native architecture, and multi-system integration.

• Experience in designing scalable fintech infrastructures and financial interoperability frameworks.

• Familiarity with Oman’s digital transformation and open finance readiness initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in AI-driven personalization, consent analytics, and financial data modeling.

• Strong technical governance, architectural documentation, and ecosystem coordination capabilities.
