Role Overview

Qatar is investing in an advanced open finance ecosystem built upon data interoperability, multi-institution API governance, and AI-enabled consumer intelligence services. This role leads the engineering of Qatar’s next-generation open banking data exchange infrastructure, enabling seamless financial data mobility, intelligent service delivery, and ecosystem-wide digital finance innovation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust, secure, and high-performance infrastructures connecting banks, fintech innovators, and financial service operators into an interconnected open finance network.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect Qatar-aligned open banking data exchange frameworks, including data standards, secure access flows, consent systems, and identity federation models.

• Engineer high-throughput API ecosystems supporting multi-bank interoperability, transaction data exchange, and scalable integration channels.

• Build cloud-native data orchestration pipelines supporting AI personalization, real-time financial analytics, and advanced customer engagement models.

• Implement strong encryption, tokenization, and data protection controls aligned with regional financial data regulations.

• Develop monitoring architectures for API integrity, performance optimization, and governance compliance.

• Drive coordination across banks, fintechs, and institutional partners to achieve universal interoperability and service continuity.

Required Expertise

• 8–12+ years in API engineering, open banking systems, distributed systems design, or financial data architecture.

• Mastery of secure API frameworks, identity systems, and large-scale data integration.

• Strong understanding of Qatar’s digital transformation initiatives within financial services.

• Proven capacity to lead cross-institution interoperability projects.

Preferred Capabilities

• Experience with AI-driven personalization, consent analytics, and real-time intelligence engines.

• Expertise in architecting cloud-native data ecosystems and multi-environment integration layers.

• Strong documentation and stakeholder governance skills.
