A sophisticated fintech operating environment in Kuwait is searching for a Lead Digital Payments Innovation & Merchant Technology Strategist to oversee enterprise payment modernization initiatives supporting merchant ecosystems, digital transaction infrastructures, and next-generation financial service delivery platforms.

This role is tailored for commercially strategic fintech professionals with deep expertise in payment technologies, merchant acquiring systems, embedded financial services, and digital transaction optimization.

The selected candidate will contribute directly to high-impact fintech growth initiatives focused on modernizing digital commerce experiences, enhancing payment scalability, and strengthening transaction intelligence across enterprise financial ecosystems.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead strategic fintech projects involving payment innovation, merchant transaction optimization, and digital commerce modernization.
• Design scalable payment ecosystems supporting real-time transactions, merchant acquiring infrastructures, and embedded finance solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve payment routing efficiency, transaction speed, customer experience, and operational scalability.
• Develop strategic frameworks supporting digital wallet expansion, QR payment ecosystems, API-based merchant services, and intelligent transaction platforms.
• Conduct market intelligence analysis relating to digital commerce trends, fintech adoption patterns, and emerging payment technologies.
• Support enterprise product development involving financial automation systems, transaction orchestration platforms, and digital merchant solutions.
• Coordinate with compliance and cybersecurity divisions to strengthen transaction governance, payment integrity, and operational security standards.
• Develop analytical reports measuring payment performance, merchant engagement, transaction growth, and financial ecosystem scalability.
• Participate in fintech partnership discussions involving banking integrations, payment processors, merchant technology providers, and enterprise financial networks.
• Monitor emerging innovations in digital finance, intelligent payments, transaction security, and fintech operational transformation.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Financial Technology, Business Strategy, Finance, Computer Science, Marketing, or related disciplines.
• 6–10 years of experience in fintech strategy, digital payments, merchant services, financial technology consulting, or transaction ecosystem management.
• Strong understanding of payment infrastructures, merchant acquiring technologies, digital transaction systems, and fintech product ecosystems.
• Experience working with enterprise fintech modernization programs and commercial financial technology initiatives.
• Strong strategic planning, market intelligence, and analytical capabilities.
• Familiarity with fintech operational governance and payment security frameworks.
