About the Role
A globally focused fintech banking institution is seeking an exceptional Lead DevOps Engineer – AI, Data Platforms & Fintech Infrastructure to architect and optimize the cloud infrastructure powering next-generation digital banking, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, fraud intelligence, payment processing, customer engagement, and enterprise data platforms.
This strategic engineering leadership role combines DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, AI infrastructure management, and enterprise platform engineering. The successful candidate will lead initiatives that enhance scalability, operational resilience, automation, and software delivery while enabling rapid innovation across mission-critical financial systems.
Working alongside AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Enterprise Architects, Software Developers, Cybersecurity Specialists, Platform Engineers, Product Managers, Compliance Officers, and Executive Technology Leaders, you will help shape the future of one of the region’s most technologically advanced fintech banking ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud infrastructure engineering supporting AI-driven fintech applications and digital banking platforms.
- Design automated CI/CD pipelines for enterprise software, machine learning models, and data engineering workflows.
- Build resilient Kubernetes-based infrastructure supporting containerized applications.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code for scalable multi-cloud environments.
- Develop automated monitoring, alerting, incident response, and self-healing platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with AI and Data Engineering teams to optimize infrastructure supporting advanced analytics workloads.
- Integrate security, compliance, and governance controls into deployment pipelines.
- Support enterprise disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity programmes.
- Drive platform performance optimization, infrastructure cost management, and operational efficiency.
- Produce technical architecture documentation, engineering standards, and automation playbooks.
- Mentor DevOps engineers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous innovation.
- Evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies and recommend enterprise adoption strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Systems is highly advantageous.
- Minimum 8–10 years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience within fintech, banking, or enterprise cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, AI platform operations, and enterprise automation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
