Build the Technology That Powers Millions of Financial Transactions
An internationally recognised financial technology organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Backend FinTech Developer to design and develop mission-critical payment infrastructure supporting high-volume digital transactions across the Gulf region.
You will join an elite engineering division responsible for building secure, scalable, cloud-native financial platforms capable of delivering exceptional reliability, performance, and customer experience.
This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-grade microservices, API-driven financial systems, and distributed cloud architectures while collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering
- Design and develop high-performance backend applications.
- Build secure RESTful and gRPC APIs.
- Architect scalable microservices for financial platforms.
- Optimise transaction processing systems.
- Maintain clean, testable, and maintainable codebases.
Platform Development
- Develop payment processing services.
- Integrate third-party financial APIs.
- Improve platform reliability and scalability.
- Support cloud-native deployment strategies.
- Enhance application performance and availability.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Security Architects.
- Participate in architecture reviews.
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of backend software development experience.
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, or enterprise software is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and system design capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
