Position Summary
An advanced fintech ecosystem in Riyadh is looking for a visionary Lead Backend Developer – AI-Powered Fintech Platforms & Financial Data Services to engineer intelligent backend systems that transform enormous financial datasets into actionable insights and automated financial experiences.
This role combines backend engineering excellence with modern data technologies, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and cloud-native financial services.
The ideal candidate will lead the creation of sophisticated backend platforms supporting AI-driven fraud detection, predictive analytics, customer personalization engines, automated financial recommendations, and real-time data processing environments.
Primary Responsibilities
Backend Platform Leadership
- Architect and develop highly scalable backend applications supporting advanced financial products.
- Lead engineering decisions regarding system architecture, database selection, scalability strategies, and software quality standards.
- Mentor backend developers and establish engineering best practices.
Data Processing & AI Infrastructure
- Design high-throughput data pipelines capable of processing massive financial datasets.
- Build backend services enabling machine learning models to operate efficiently in production environments.
- Develop systems for real-time fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and behavioral analytics.
- Optimize APIs delivering intelligent financial insights to digital applications.
Advanced Software Architecture
- Implement clean architecture principles, domain-driven design, and microservice patterns.
- Develop secure event-driven systems capable of processing millions of financial events.
- Maintain high levels of system availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
Cloud Engineering & Automation
- Build cloud-native applications utilizing scalable computing resources.
- Implement automated deployment strategies, infrastructure monitoring, and reliability engineering practices.
- Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and cybersecurity professionals.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of backend software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Python, Java, Go, Scala, or similar backend technologies.
- Experience with big data technologies, machine learning deployment, and distributed computing environments.
- Excellent leadership, architectural, and problem-solving abilities.
