Position Overview
A leading fintech organization is seeking an accomplished Head of Digital Wallets Ecosystem to shape the strategic direction of its digital wallet business across the Gulf region.
This executive leadership role will oversee product innovation, commercial expansion, ecosystem partnerships, merchant enablement, and platform modernization while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and sustainable business growth. The successful executive will work closely with senior leadership to define long-term wallet strategies that strengthen market competitiveness and accelerate digital financial inclusion.
Executive Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define multi-year digital wallet growth strategies.
- Lead regional product innovation initiatives.
- Identify emerging opportunities in digital commerce and financial services.
- Establish performance objectives aligned with organizational goals.
Ecosystem Development
- Build strategic relationships with merchants, financial institutions, and technology partners.
- Expand digital wallet acceptance networks.
- Develop new value-added financial services.
- Strengthen regional partnership ecosystems.
Commercial Performance
- Drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.
- Monitor portfolio profitability and operational performance.
- Evaluate new market expansion opportunities.
- Present strategic performance updates to executive leadership.
Organizational Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary product, operations, and commercial teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor senior managers and future leaders.
- Champion collaboration across engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, marketing, and finance.
Executive Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in fintech, digital payments, banking, or financial technology.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale digital financial products and commercial teams.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Deep understanding of digital wallet ecosystems, payment infrastructure, and financial innovation.
