This role is intended for a senior fintech professional whose career is grounded in designing, governing, and scaling digital payments and financial infrastructure at high volume and national relevance. Operating remotely while aligned with the UAE’s fintech ecosystem, the role focuses on building robust, future-ready financial systems capable of supporting rapid innovation without sacrificing stability, performance, or control.
The Head of Digital Payments Architecture will function as the ultimate authority on payments system design, overseeing how transaction platforms are structured, interconnected, secured, and evolved over time.
Core Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end digital payments infrastructures, including transaction routing, settlement logic, reconciliation systems, and exception handling

Design scalable architectures supporting real-time payments, merchant acquiring, wallet ecosystems, and cross-border transaction flows

Establish architectural principles for availability, fault tolerance, latency control, and throughput optimization

Define integration standards for APIs, messaging protocols, and financial data exchange

Lead the technical translation of regulatory expectations into system controls, auditability mechanisms, and monitoring frameworks

Own long-term infrastructure roadmaps, including modernization and platform evolution strategies

Professional Profile

12+ years in fintech, payments engineering, or financial systems architecture

Proven experience leading large-scale transaction platforms

Comfortable owning mission-critical systems with minimal supervision
