Role Summary
The Head of Digital Banking Strategy & Innovation will architect the roadmap for end-to-end digital transformation across banking platforms, integrating advanced financial technologies—AI, blockchain, digital identity frameworks, and embedded finance—into the national financial landscape. The successful candidate will operate at the nexus of strategy, innovation, and governance, ensuring compliance with UAE Central Bank guidelines while leading cross-functional fintech development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Develop multi-year digital transformation strategies for mobile banking, digital payments, and virtual asset integration.

Lead policy-aligned innovation programs focusing on customer-centric digital ecosystems and open banking interoperability.

Oversee digital product architecture integrating regtech, wealthtech, and AI-based risk intelligence tools.

Collaborate with policy stakeholders to align fintech frameworks with emerging UAE fintech regulatory sandboxes.

Define digital KPIs, technology adoption metrics, and governance models to ensure financial inclusion and cybersecurity resilience.
Qualifications

Master’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or Digital Systems Strategy.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial transformation leadership.

Proven expertise in blockchain applications, digital currency frameworks, and AI-driven analytics.

Exceptional understanding of GCC fintech ecosystems and cross-border payment structures.

Strong familiarity with ISO 20022, Open Banking APIs, and digital asset custody protocols.
