Role Summary
The Head of Decentralized Finance Strategy & Blockchain Policy will define the foundational frameworks guiding UAE’s digital asset and decentralized finance ecosystem. The position requires a leader with both macroeconomic foresight and blockchain-technical fluency—capable of designing policy structures, governance models, and regulatory-compliant DeFi systems that align with international standards.
The role is centered around bridging financial sovereignty, blockchain scalability, and institutional-grade compliance frameworks to accelerate digital asset adoption across public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic roadmap development for DeFi and tokenized financial infrastructure under UAE digital economy initiatives.

Architect blockchain governance models ensuring institutional scalability, security, and interoperability across platforms.

Develop frameworks for regulatory sandboxes, compliance automation, and smart contract auditability.

Integrate cryptographic asset custody solutions with enterprise-level risk management frameworks.

Collaborate with policy bodies and technology institutions on DeFi legislation, digital identity, and asset tokenization standards.
Candidate Qualifications

10+ years in blockchain governance, fintech strategy, or decentralized systems leadership.

Advanced understanding of smart contract auditing, DLT consensus models, and digital asset compliance structures.

Proven experience with cross-jurisdictional financial innovation frameworks (FATF, IOSCO, IMF).

Excellent communication skills across technical, regulatory, and strategic domains.
Educational Background

Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Financial Regulation, Computer Science, or Blockchain Economics.

Recognized certifications in blockchain governance, financial compliance, or legal technology.
