About the Role

Bahrain has long positioned itself as a pioneer in financial innovation, now accelerating its role in Web3, decentralized finance (DeFi), and blockchain-based infrastructure adoption. The Remote Global Head of Decentralized Financial Infrastructure & Web3 Integration will lead the design of decentralized banking ecosystems, smart contract-powered platforms, and Web3-native financial services, enabling seamless integration of DeFi with traditional financial markets.

This role requires expertise in DeFi protocols, blockchain governance, digital identity frameworks, and interoperability between centralized and decentralized ecosystems. The successful candidate will guide Bahrain into becoming a global hub for DeFi adoption and Web3 financial integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop decentralized lending, staking, and trading platforms aligned with international compliance standards.

• Build hybrid financial infrastructures combining centralized exchanges (CeFi) and DeFi protocols.

• Oversee implementation of cross-chain interoperability solutions for payments and settlements.

• Drive integration of digital identity, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure authentication frameworks into DeFi ecosystems.

• Collaborate with regulators on policy frameworks for DeFi adoption.

• Establish global partnerships with DeFi protocols, liquidity providers, and blockchain foundations.

• Design institutional-grade DeFi solutions for asset managers, banks, and corporates.

• Launch research on Web3 governance models, DAO-driven finance, and decentralized treasury management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years in blockchain, digital finance, or financial infrastructure leadership.

• Strong expertise in DeFi platforms, smart contract security, and blockchain governance.

• Proven record in building interoperable blockchain ecosystems.

• Knowledge of international Web3 and DeFi regulatory trends.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Experience leading large-scale Web3 integration projects.

• Strong ability to bridge traditional institutions with decentralized ecosystems.

• Knowledge of token economics, DAO operations, and liquidity engineering.
