Position Overview
This mandate targets a senior fintech professional to lead the strategic design and governance of large-scale digital payment ecosystems. This role emphasizes cross-border interoperability, regulatory compliance, and systemic resilience. The successful candidate will function as a financial infrastructure architect, responsible for ensuring that payment systems are robust, scalable, and future-proof.
Strategic Objectives

Architect end-to-end digital payment systems with domestic and international settlement capability.

Define clearing, reconciliation, and settlement frameworks that optimize liquidity, operational resilience, and transaction finality.

Establish interoperability between banks, fintech platforms, and emerging payment rails.

Evaluate and integrate advanced technologies including tokenized assets, programmable money, and embedded finance frameworks.

Translate regulatory guidance into actionable system architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities

Produce comprehensive system blueprints illustrating transaction lifecycles, liquidity routing, and failure mitigation plans.

Lead systemic risk assessments addressing settlement delays, counterparty exposure, and operational bottlenecks.

Advise executives on future-proofing infrastructure and adopting innovative financial technologies.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesion across technical, operational, and governance dimensions.

Produce long-form executive reports articulating systemic strategy, risk mitigation, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications

12+ years in payment systems architecture, banking infrastructure, or fintech engineering.

Deep expertise in clearing cycles, liquidity management, and operational resilience.

Proven experience translating regulatory frameworks into system design.

Exceptional ability to produce long-form technical and strategic documentation.
