Role Overview
The Transaction Operations & Settlement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of financial transactions across fintech platforms. The role is structured across operational layers, each representing a critical stage in transaction handling and financial accuracy.
Operational Layers
Layer 1: Transaction Initiation
- Monitor incoming transactions from mobile, web, and third-party platforms
- Validate transaction details before processing
- Identify anomalies at the point of initiation
Layer 2: Processing & Authorization
- Oversee authorization workflows
- Ensure transactions are processed without delays
- Resolve authorization failures in collaboration with technical teams
Layer 3: Clearing & Settlement
- Ensure proper clearing of transactions
- Manage settlement cycles with financial partners
- Track settlement completion and resolve issues
Layer 4: Reconciliation & Validation
- Reconcile internal records with external financial data
- Identify mismatches and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate transaction logs
Layer 5: Reporting & Compliance
- Generate operational and settlement reports
- Maintain documentation for audit purposes
- Ensure compliance with internal processes
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transaction operations
- Ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and compliance teams
- Identify and implement process improvements
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems
- 5–8 years of experience in fintech or banking operations
- Strong knowledge of transaction lifecycle and settlement processes
Technical Skills
- Payment processing systems

- Reporting and analytics platforms
