Role Introduction

This role is structured as an academic–strategic appointment, designed for fintech professionals who operate at the level of theory, foresight, and long-range system analysis. The Fintech Research Director is responsible for studying, modelling, and articulating how digital finance systems evolve, rather than building or operating them.

The position is fully remote and emphasizes rigorous thinking, structured research, and strategic publication-grade output.

Core Research & Strategic Responsibilities

• Conduct deep research into global fintech systems, including payments, digital banking, and platform finance

• Develop theoretical models explaining fintech adoption, scaling, and failure patterns

• Analyse emerging technologies and their long-term systemic implications

• Produce research papers, strategic foresight documents, and conceptual frameworks

• Translate complex fintech developments into clear, structured strategic insight

• Advise senior stakeholders through evidence-based analysis and scenario modelling

Ideal Candidate Profile
