Role Context
In a rapidly evolving digital payments ecosystem, the Payments Product Analyst plays a critical role in shaping how users interact with financial products. This position focuses on analyzing transaction behavior, optimizing payment flows, and supporting the development of scalable fintech solutions tailored to regional and global markets.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze payment transaction data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to improve payment features
- Monitor payment success rates, latency, and transaction failures
- Support the rollout of new payment methods, including digital wallets and alternative payment options
- Conduct competitive benchmarking across regional and global fintech platforms
- Translate business needs into functional product requirements
Daily Functional Activities
- Review transaction dashboards and performance metrics
- Investigate anomalies in payment processing
- Coordinate with technical teams to resolve system issues
- Prepare analytical reports for product and leadership teams
- Track user behavior and engagement with payment features
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in fintech, payments, or product analytics
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or similar)
- Understanding of payment gateways, card networks, and digital wallets
Preferred Competencies
- Experience working with APIs and fintech platforms
- Knowledge of regional payment ecosystems in the GCC
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
