Role Overview
The Payment Operations & Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all digital financial transactions are processed accurately, securely, and in compliance with operational standards. The role is structured around key functional pillars that collectively ensure transaction integrity and operational stability.
Functional Pillars
Pillar 1: Transaction Processing
- Oversee daily processing of digital payments across multiple channels
- Validate transaction data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor transaction flow and identify processing delays
Pillar 2: Reconciliation & Settlement
- Perform reconciliation between internal systems and external financial records
- Ensure timely settlement of funds with relevant partners
- Investigate and resolve mismatches or discrepancies
Pillar 3: Operational Controls
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures
- Monitor adherence to operational standards
- Identify and mitigate risks within transaction workflows
Pillar 4: Reporting & Analysis
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
- Analyze transaction trends and identify areas for improvement
- Provide insights to enhance operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fintech transaction operations end-to-end
- Ensure data accuracy and operational reliability
- Collaborate with finance, risk, and IT teams
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
- Recommend process improvements
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems
- 5–8 years of experience in fintech operations or payment processing
- Strong understanding of reconciliation and settlement processes
