Role Summary
The Fintech Merchant Payments Integration Specialist is responsible for onboarding merchants, integrating payment solutions, and ensuring smooth transaction flows between merchants and fintech platforms.
Responsibility Tiers
Tier 1: Core Responsibilities
- Integrate merchants into payment systems using APIs and onboarding tools.
- Ensure proper configuration of payment gateways and transaction settings.
- Provide technical support during onboarding processes.
Tier 2: Advanced Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot integration issues and resolve technical challenges.
- Optimize payment flows for efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams for enhancements.
Tier 3: Strategic Contributions
- Identify opportunities to improve merchant onboarding experiences.
- Recommend enhancements to integration frameworks.
- Support scaling of merchant payment ecosystems.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Communicate with merchants to guide them through integration steps.
- Monitor transaction performance and resolve issues.
- Maintain documentation for integrations and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years in fintech integrations, payments, or technical support.
- Strong understanding of APIs and payment systems.
- Experience working with merchants or external partners.
