Role Overview
The Merchant Payment Integration & Operations Specialist is responsible for enabling seamless onboarding and operational performance of merchants within a fintech payment ecosystem. This includes managing technical integrations, transaction flows, and ongoing merchant operations to ensure reliable and efficient payment processing.
The role combines technical coordination with operational execution, ensuring that merchant systems interact effectively with fintech platforms.
Core Functional Areas
Merchant Integration Management
- Coordinate onboarding of merchants onto payment platforms
- Support integration of merchant systems with APIs and payment gateways
- Ensure proper configuration of payment methods and transaction flows
Operational Workflow Management
- Monitor merchant transaction activity across platforms
- Identify and resolve issues affecting payment processing
- Ensure smooth day-to-day merchant operations
Transaction Oversight
- Track payment success rates and transaction performance
- Investigate failed or delayed transactions
- Maintain accurate transaction records
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in merchant operations
- Recommend enhancements to integration and workflows
- Support rollout of new payment features
Key Responsibilities
- Manage merchant onboarding and integration processes
- Monitor transaction performance and resolve issues
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams
- Maintain documentation for integrations and workflows
- Generate reports on merchant performance
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in fintech operations or integrations
- Understanding of payment gateways and APIs
