Role Overview

The Digital Payments Support & Dispute Resolution Specialist is responsible for managing post-transaction processes within a fintech payments environment. This includes handling failed transactions, customer disputes, chargebacks, and ensuring accurate resolution across multiple payment channels.

The role plays a critical part in maintaining trust, ensuring financial accuracy, and improving customer experience through effective issue resolution and operational consistency.


Key Functional Areas

Transaction Issue Management

  • Monitor payment transactions for failures, reversals, or anomalies
  • Investigate root causes of transaction errors
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues promptly

Dispute & Chargeback Handling

  • Manage customer disputes related to unauthorized or incorrect transactions
  • Process chargeback requests in accordance with payment rules
  • Maintain detailed records of dispute cases and outcomes

Customer Support Coordination

  • Work closely with customer support teams to address user concerns
  • Provide technical and operational insights for issue resolution
  • Ensure timely communication and updates to stakeholders

Operational Reporting

  • Generate reports on dispute volumes, resolution times, and trends
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
  • Support audit and compliance reporting requirements

Daily Responsibilities

  • Review transaction logs and identify discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all cases
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4–7 years of experience in payments, dispute resolution, or fintech operations
  • Understanding of transaction flows and chargeback processes
