Position: Remote Fintech Data Platform Engineer

Role Definition
The Fintech Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data infrastructures that support financial analytics, reporting, and real-time decision-making. This role is critical in enabling fintech platforms to operate with data accuracy, scalability, and performance efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design and implement data pipelines for processing financial transactions and user data
- Build scalable data architectures supporting analytics and reporting needs
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and efficiency
Integration & Processing
- Integrate data from multiple fintech systems, including payment platforms and banking APIs
- Enable real-time data processing for fraud detection and transaction monitoring
- Ensure data consistency across distributed systems
Security & Compliance
- Implement data governance policies aligned with Qatar financial regulations
- Ensure secure handling of sensitive financial data
- Support audit and compliance reporting requirements
Technical Requirements
- Programming: Python, Java, or Scala
- Data Tools: Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka
- Databases: SQL and NoSQL systems
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience Profile
- 4–8 years of experience in data engineering or fintech development
- Strong understanding of financial data structures and transaction systems
- Experience with large-scale data processing environments

- Data pipeline reliability and latency
- Accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Scalability of data infrastructure
