Position: Fintech Cybersecurity & Risk Specialist
Location: Remote (UAE Market Focus)
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Objective
To safeguard fintech systems, digital banking platforms, and payment infrastructures by implementing robust cybersecurity measures and risk management frameworks.
Functional Responsibility Matrix
Security Operations
✔ Monitor systems for cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches
✔ Implement security controls across fintech platforms
✔ Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Risk Management
✔ Identify and evaluate operational and cyber risks
✔ Develop risk mitigation strategies and frameworks
✔ Maintain risk registers and incident logs
Compliance & Governance
✔ Ensure alignment with UAE cybersecurity and financial regulations
✔ Support internal and external audits
✔ Maintain security documentation and policies
Incident Response
✔ Lead response to cybersecurity incidents
✔ Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
✔ Coordinate with IT and operations teams during system breaches
Required Skills Checklist
✔ Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
✔ Experience in fintech or banking security environments
✔ Familiarity with cloud security and API protection
✔ Understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control systems
Experience Profile
✔ 5–9 years in cybersecurity, preferably within fintech or financial services
✔ Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field
