Position Title: Remote Fintech Data Engineering & Analytics Lead
Region: GCC (Primary Focus: United Arab Emirates)

Role Mandate
The Data Engineering & Analytics Lead will be responsible for building and managing scalable data pipelines, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting data-driven decision-making within a fintech ecosystem. This role requires a blend of engineering expertise and analytical insight to transform raw financial data into strategic value.
Functional Architecture of the Role
1. Data Engineering & Infrastructure Development
- Design and implement robust data pipelines for ingesting financial transaction data
- Build scalable data warehouses and data lakes to support analytics
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across platforms
2. Advanced Analytics Enablement
- Develop frameworks for real-time and batch data processing
- Support machine learning models for fraud detection, risk assessment, and customer analytics
- Enable business intelligence through structured data models
3. Data Governance & Security
- Establish data governance policies and standards
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations within the UAE
- Implement data security measures to safeguard sensitive financial information
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, risk, and engineering teams
- Translate business requirements into technical data solutions
- Provide analytical insights to support strategic initiatives
Technical Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within fintech or financial services
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
- Experience with cloud platforms and data pipeline tools
- Strong understanding of financial data structures and transaction systems
