Job Overview
About the Role
We’re looking for a Cloud Application Developer to join our core engineering team building financial transaction engines, regulatory reporting pipelines, and high-throughput client-facing APIs. You will architect, deploy, and optimize cloud-native systems that power digital payments, real-time account monitoring, and automated reconciliation workflows. This is not a maintenance role — you’ll help us scale secure, event-driven infrastructure that responds to financial events in milliseconds.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and implement microservices that process KYC/AML validations, risk scoring, and ledger postings using managed cloud services.
-
Build and optimize event-driven architectures using tools like AWS Lambda, SNS/SQS, and DynamoDB to ensure sub-second transaction processing.
-
Integrate with external banking and payment APIs (e.g., ACH, SWIFT, Plaid, Stripe Treasury) with fault-tolerant, observable design.
-
Manage and evolve CI/CD pipelines for containerized deployments using tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or ArgoCD.
-
Implement and enforce least-privilege IAM roles, token-based authentication flows, and data encryption in accordance with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS standards.
-
Contribute to internal tooling to accelerate compliance workflows and reduce latency in regulatory batch reporting.
Required Skills and Experience
-
3–6 years of experience developing cloud-native applications, preferably in regulated environments (finance, health, insurance).
-
Proficient in at least one high-level language (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Python) and deep familiarity with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK).
-
Hands-on experience with real-time data processing (e.g., Kinesis, Kafka, or EventBridge).
-
Strong knowledge of financial transaction lifecycles, ledger integrity, or fund settlement workflows.
-
Proven ability to build scalable APIs that align with OpenAPI specs, enforce rate limiting, and track usage via observability tools (e.g., Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
-
Comfortable with audit-readiness requirements such as immutable logs, traceability, and encrypted data at rest and in transit.
Nice to Have
-
Experience integrating with open banking frameworks or ISO 20022 standards.
-
Prior work with serverless orchestration (e.g., AWS Step Functions, Temporal.io) for multi-step transactional workflows.
-
Familiarity with Kubernetes in a regulated CI/CD context.
