Role Overview
The Fintech API & Integration Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust integration frameworks that connect financial systems, third-party services, and digital platforms. This role is central to enabling seamless data exchange and transaction processing across modern fintech ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise combined with an understanding of financial services, ensuring that integrations are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs for financial system integrations
- Integrate payment gateways, banking systems, and external financial services
- Ensure high system availability and optimize performance of integration layers
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to implement new features
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations
- Maintain security standards including encryption and secure authentication protocols
- Document integration processes, workflows, and system architectures
- Support continuous improvement of system performance and scalability
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in API development or fintech engineering
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with financial systems and payment infrastructures
Additional Skills
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles in financial environments
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of database systems and data structures
