Position Summary:
A hyper-scalable fintech platform is recruiting a Fintech API & Integration Engineer to design secure, high-throughput, and fully interoperable backend services powering modular financial infrastructure – with a priority focus on the Saudi Arabian regulatory and technology landscape. This is a remote role ideal for engineers passionate about programmable finance, digital onboarding, and Open Banking enablement in high-growth economies.
Key Responsibilities:

Build and manage a suite of RESTful and GraphQL APIs that enable fintech partners to offer digital onboarding, instant lending, real-time transactions, and eKYC via BaaS layers.

Integrate with Saudi Central Bank’s Open Banking Platform (SAMA OBIE), digital wallet regulators, and licensed banks through secure middleware and gateway orchestration.

Design microservice architecture that supports scaleable modules such as multi-tenant account provisioning, AML pipelines, tokenized payments, and identity verification logic.

Develop, test, and optimize SDKs for third-party fintech integrations, including Arabic-first user interfaces and regional localization protocols.

Monitor uptime, latency, and security across all API calls using best-in-class observability tools and zero-downtime deployment pipelines.

Ensure that all infrastructure complies with Saudi Arabia’s Cloud Computing Regulatory Framework, cybersecurity governance policies, and fintech sandbox protocols.
Technical and Professional Qualifications:

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or DevOps-related disciplines.

6+ years of backend engineering with a strong portfolio in fintech API architecture and Open Banking infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, AWS/GCP/Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.

Deep understanding of SAMA’s licensing criteria, digital banking regulations, and cloud-native compliance practices in KSA.

Fluent in modern API security (OAuth2.0, JWT, TLS 1.3) and data integrity protocols.

Familiarity with banking protocols such as ISO 20022, SWIFT gpi, and Shariah-compliant financial logic is highly advantageous.
